Hi Everyone,
I
hope you're all settling into the new financial year!
I'm
back on board from my honeymoon (was fantastic!) and Cecilia has
taken my place. She has just left to get married in Sweden!
Congrats to Giles and Cecilia!
Intuitive this month has a
new article that Nicole Dixon from Morpheum inspired. Technology
projects - are they fundamentally Data-based or People-based?
You will also see
the profile of our employee of the month Zoë Soon and you might
even see some piccies of us ice skating last week!
Have
a fun month! Bye for now!
Cheers,
James

Paper: What is your technology 'BASED' on?
Author:
James Breeze, Craig Errey
In building
your last business application did you get requirements from
users or test the application with them? Even if you did,
you may still have had trouble making the technology work
the way they needed it to. James Breeze and Craig Errey
explain how engaging users is only half the equation, since
technology must be built so that it is entirely ‘people
based’, not ‘data based’.

ICEBREAKERS
Last Friday
afternoon, Macquarie Ice Rink, North Ryde was stormed by a
seriously dangerous force – PTG Global, on ice skates. Our brave
team rose to the challenge of moving the company forward –
unfortunately the ground was (literally) slipping from beneath
them.

Meet
Zoë Soon
Which
three words best describe you and why?
Hard-working,
dedicated and reliable…Why? Because my boss will probably read
this.
In my freetime, I like
to...
Sit in a coffee
shop with a good book or journal.
I most admire...
Joseph Campbell…he
coined the term ‘Follow your bliss’, then quit his job, during
the Depression, and went into the woods and read for 5 years.
That’s putting your money where your mouth is!
I hope to...
Salsa dance
across South America!
What is the best thing
about working at PTG Global?
The people and
the innovation.
What is the most
treasured item on your desk?
The $2 mini wind
chimes I won at an office auction because they’re like my personal
sound effects that add a bit of ‘fairy magic’ to the office!
